"A month has now flown by and what a brilliant time I've had so far, touring the District and learning of all the positive things going on out there. The last week saw me at Dursley on Monday evening - the 6.00pm start works really well - perfect for retirees and those of us still working - really go ahead group; Tuesday, I visited Newent at Three Choirs Vineyard - lots going on and great discussion on the way forward - I hope I made a difference; Wednesday was Cirencester where I had the perfect visitor experience - if there is a more complete Rotary Club, active in the Community and abroad, keeping members interested and attracting new ones, continuously evolving - then I haven't seen it yet (and I've seen some very good ones so far on this journey); Thursday saw me at Colwall - big (and very brave) changes being discussed here - good luck - the changing face of membership does bring new challenges and Colwall are meeting these challenges head-on - a great welcome at all so far. I'll be back...The week rounded off very nicely with Rotary Youth Leadership end of week "party". What a brilliant thing Rotary does here - changing youngsters' lives (and I don't exaggerate). Real lump in the throat time at the presentations. Thank you to all involved for allowing me the privilege of taking part"
