Colwall Rotary Club and St Michael’s Hospice invites you to dedicate a light to a loved one this Christmas.
This Christmas Colwall Rotary Club is again hosting ‘Light Up a Life’ Christmas trees outside the Malvern Hills Hotel and the Colwall Coffee Lounge.
Light up a Life events are held by Hospices across the world at Christmas to remember and celebrate a life. Each light is dedicated to a loved one – it could be in memoriam, to celebrate the gift of friendship or to mark a special occasion, such as a birth or an anniversary. The lights lit by St Michael’s hospice at special services are also beacons for everything that St Michael’s stands for – giving care to local people with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families and friends.
We would like to invite you to dedicate a light and, if you are able, to attend one of our services. Through your dedication, you will not only be illuminating the life of a loved one, but will be helping to provide support to local people who need the specialist care that St Michael’s offers.
To dedicate a light to a loved one and to support St Michael’s collection the dedication forms will be available from the beginning of November from the Malvern Hills Hotel, the Colwall Coffee Lounge, The Malvern Event Organiser shop (Church Walk, Malvern), any St Michael’s Hospice charity shop or on line st-michaels-hospice.org.uk.
Colwall Rotary Club will be erecting two trees locally to for ‘Light up a Life’. Please do come and join us for the dedication services:
Thursday 3rd December 6.00pm Lighting of tree and dedication at the Colwall Coffee Lounge.
Thursday 3rd December 8.00pm Lighting of tree and dedication at the Malvern Hills Hotel.
Each venue will also host the books in which dedications are recorded. We are most grateful to them for their generous support.
