The Rotary Club of Colwall in the Malvern Hills

21

Thank you to everyone who supported Colwall Rotary Club’s Annual Duck Race on Sunday 11th September. Over 200 people attended and watched the 5 races and many, many more bought tickets to have a duck entered into each race. Some people just sat on the banks watching and chatting to friends, while enjoying a drink and food from the BBQ. Some became more actively involved supporting their ducks during races. Others, both young and old, splashed around in the water pushing the grounded ducks along and helping to collect them at the end of each race. Everyone seemed to have a very good time. Many people said it was a wonderful family afternoon or that the event provided the ideal opportunity for members of the local community to meet together. In all over £1,500 was raised for Parkinsons' UK and other Rotary causes. Thanks must also go to Tony Brook for all his hard work in organising the event and the other Rotarians who helped him
