You may not have heard about What3Words.
This is a really simple way to talk about location. They have divided the world into a grid of 3m x 3m squares and assigned each one a unique 3 word address. It means anyone can accurately find any location and share it more quickly, easily and with less ambiguity than any other system.
The address for the Colwall Park Hotel (our meeting venue) is ///encoding.ally.kebabs. What did you expect, Shakespeare? It takes a lot of 3 word combinations to cover the world.
So how do you use it? Currently you need to download the App to your phone (links on the What3Words website and when you have identified the location you want to navigate to then save it and use the App to open Google Maps (or any other navigation tool on your phone) and you are away.
No more "I have arrived where are you?" phone calls from those relying on Post Codes, which can change.
