Having won the Colwall Rotary Club Young Chef Competition at the Chase Academy, Maisie Lowe progressed to the District semi finals at the Cotswold School in Bourton on the Water.
A good event. Maisie cooked her courses superbly well. Totally unflappable, she took to a different kitchen in a new school with her trademark smile and enthusiasm. Working very well, her preparation and skills helped to produce a first class meal against older competitors. The standard of food prepared was very high and Maisie together with the other competitors had a long wait whilst the three judges deliberated long and hard. Maisie did not make the finals this time.
But as ever, when asked would she be back to compete next year, the smile and enthusiasm still abounded with the positive response.
Chris Mill from Colwall Rotary Club, said, "Maisie did her very best and showed a level of calmness and skill in the kitchen not often seen in such a young and talented chef."
