It was a beautiful day at WestFest today, perhaps a little too hot working at the Rotary BBQ.
Tony Brook far from resting on his laurels after the huge success of his sizzling sausages last year, added lamb on buns to the menu this year. Then insisted on cooking each individually to each customer's taste. Tony really does 'lead from the front' at these events and the rest of us follow on in awe behind.
The football show on a screen in the corner of the field meant that trade was not brisk, but the tent was full most of the time, we met lots of old and some new friends and there was lots of laughter
WestFest as always was a wonderful local community event to be involved in. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, drawing in people of all ages, good music and probably a wider variety of stalls and activities than normal
